We celebrate the open format: the idea that anyone should be able to play and compete. It’s the driving force behind our strategy to promote equity and opportunity for all—whether you’re new to the game or to our team.
We’re growing our sport to diverse new generations by bringing people of all backgrounds together through the love of the game and the power of movement. Our team plays an active role in helping tennis reflect the diversity of America.
We strive to create inclusive spaces where everyone on our team can not only be themselves, but the best version of themselves. Where everyone has a voice and can make an impact. Where our differences aren’t just celebrated; they drive business strategy. We’re committed to the long-game of ensuring everyone is seen, heard and valued.
We’ve made a commitment to become a more inclusive organization that provides our people with ongoing and intentional opportunities to put their ideas into play. That means actively recruiting more diverse talent and mapping out real ways to ensure everyone has equal opportunity for growth and development regardless of ethnicity, gender, or social background.
We collaborate with diverse suppliers and community stakeholders aligned with our mission and focused on creating a more diverse, inclusive and equitable tennis platform.
There are several ways our team can create positive change, within the game of tennis and out in the community.
Over the past few years, we appointed a new Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer; conducted an extensive third-party Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging (DEIB) assessment with National and Section staff and volunteers; and launched an Inclusive Education curriculum. In fact, we have a whole team of aces dedicated to cause.
It’s not just our desire–it’s our goal–to welcome all people to the sport we love. See how we’re putting our goal into play, every day.
